Let me start by stating that I don’t do online reviews, I’m way to lazy. But after my last experience here, I felt absolutely compelled to make sure this place got the recognition it deserves. My girlfriend and I have gone there twice in the past week. Our first time there, we had such a pleasant time. The food was fantastic! We had gotten the braised beef soup, pork soup dumplings, tofu puff and glass noodle soup, then the pork and veggie steam buns. At first I was apprehensive about the cost, roughly 10-14 per dish. But after we got our food, my worries diminished. Everything was absolutely delicious! The braised beef soup was the definition of “to die for”.
Enough so that it brought us back again at the end of the week! This time was not as good, it was phenomenally better!!! My girlfriend and I both got the braised beef soup this time, after last time being so incredible. We were not disappointed! It was heavenly! Though the food was the reason we came back, our server is the inspiration for this review(not to belittle the other employees . Our servers name was Jun. Within moments of being seated, he arrived with a smile on his face and took our drink order. After returning with our drinks, he helped us make our minds up on what side to order. This time, in tandem with the two braised beef soups, we got the pork chop fried rice(w/ white rice). The pork chop fried rice was ridiculously good. We could not get over how delicious the pork chop was! Then he made some small talk and made us feel more immersed in our dinning experience. We were enjoying not only the food, but the environment almost as much. He wasn’t overly talkative, but just the right amount to make our experience feel important, and unique. Nearing the end of our second trip there, we found ourselves not just talking about how outrageously good our food was, but how friendly and attentive our server was. From the fast meet and greet, to the way he always made sure our drinks were full, without us asking. Which seems like an easy task, but in combination with the huge amount of customers,and my ability to consume copious amounts of beverages(almost to an embarrassing extent), it’s often a servers nightmare. If there’s anything that can ruin an experience, it’s constantly having to wait for a drink refill(which for me seems to always be a problem), but not once was I left with that frustration.
At the end of it all, it left us with such a strong positive impression, that we feel that Din Tai Fung will easily be one of our regular go to destinations for amazing food, and exceptional customer service.

I usually don’t take the time to write a review because I don’t have time or make the time. but this place It was amazing! So I had to write a review. For me 3rd time at Din Tai Fung. But first time at this location. I think I like this one better than Bellevue location. The wait wasn’t too long it was about 15 min wait even though they said it probably be about 20-30 mins. So I was impressed. For it being on a Saturday too! The Bellevue one the wait is insanely long and food was great the first time but second time wasn’t impressed and service wasn’t so great either. The food here at southcenter location is soo soo much better! It was sooo sooo good! Hits the spot for sure! Great flavor and everything! My husband and kids first time and the fell in love with the food and everything! The service is excellent and everything is clean and kid friendly too! which is a must for us. CuzWe have 2 tots and two teens! They also offered to stored out stroller for us while we we’re dining there, which is so nice. I appreciate things like that. The staff were very prompt and attentive. And made us all felt very comfortable. And Aliea was such a very nice and great waitress. Our fav there was the XLB aka Xioung louong bao crab/pork dumplings and the xlb truffle dumplings 🥟! And the garlic kale, the spicy wontons, braised beef noodle soup, and tea was good too! The tots fav was the the xlb crab/pork dumplings and pork buns! We order way too much but was glad we had leftovers for later! They even packed it in a cute to go box and bag. So nice! And they’re bathrooms are nice and clean too. Which is very much appreciated. Keep up the greatness, you guys are excellent! 🤗👍🏼💕
Love the place. Great atmosphere. Seating was very spacious/comfortable (we had a boot). Food was excellent with minimal wait time and delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back.
